Humility is not an option

God does not empower self-rule.

Pride is more than boasting. It appears whenever self becomes the final authority for worth, safety, wisdom, control, reputation, or achievement. Humility returns every one of those claims to God.

“God… gives grace to the humble.”

James 4:6

Pride can look quiet

Fear of people, image management, and refusal to ask for help can all serve self.

The manual challenges narrow definitions of pride. Self-protection can hide beneath timidity, independence, perfectionism, defensiveness, or the need to appear spiritually strong.

Strength under submission

Authority and humility are not opposites.

Jesus’ self-giving obedience shows that humility is not weakness or passivity. It is the strength to trust the Father, serve others, receive correction, and surrender the will.

“He humbled Himself by becoming obedient.”

Philippians 2:8

Train dependence

Confess. Pray. Fast. Serve. Receive help. Obey.

The manual connects humility to embodied practices that interrupt self-rule. The website should name these practices, then invite the reader into the book’s deeper examination and application.
